Wednesday

Wednesday night The Station hosted Karaoke night. Thank you to everyone that came out that night, it was a great time. Everyone took turns singing their favorites. If you’ve ever tried singing in front of a crowd it can be a little overwhelming, but with this positive and encouraging crowd it makes it all worthwhile. I even think Angel Perez may join us this Wednesday!

Friday

Friday night I ventured out to Eddie’s Cocktails on the east side. If you’ve never been there you should give it a try. The place is clean and they offer reasonably priced drinks with live Country Music. This night we got the pleasure of dancing to the Robert Moreno band. Robert’s skill on the mic, guitar and keyboard come through in every song. This band is also one of the few Tucson Country bands to feature a female vocal. Her name is Monica Mendez, make sure to go see them when you can.

After Eddie’s I stopped by The Station to hear Angel Perez at Clint’s pre-birthday party. I wasn’t disappointed as Angel sang some of my favorites. His range of songs is so amazing and when he mixes it up with the harmonica his soulful sounds ring true.

Saturday

Saturday morning I had coffee with Angel Perez while reflecting on how grateful I am to get to do what I love each and every day. Thanks for the mug Angel!

Saturday night was couples date night with Keith and Roxy and we found ourselves listening to The Nacho Problem band for the first time. This band really had me going with their authentic country sound. There is really nothing better than real musicians playing real instruments. The Nacho Problem band features 4 members including Ray Blowers on Guitar/Vocals, Gene Call on Bass/Vocals, Lee Gonzales on Drums/Vocals and Lisa Luick on Vocals/Keyboard/Flute/Sax. They are a great group of musicians and I can’t wait to hear more from them.

I wrapped up the evening at The Station where Clint’s birthday party was in full swing. DJ ATraxX spun us some great dance music and even mixed in “two” Country Favorites. The place was completely packed in celebration of Clint’s birthday. Joey and Josleyn really know how to make you feel welcome. I love betting with you Joey, let’s do it again sometime ;-)

Sunday

Sunday night we were surprised with a random trip to Eddies Cocktails. We met up with some old friends and listened to some amazing talents. Playing that night was a band called Back 2 Back. The lead singer Chuck Back is known worldwide for his hand made Desert Rose Steel Guitars. The Back 2 Back band has 15 years of playing together and it shows. They currently play at Eddie’s on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Be sure to check them out.

Hope everyone has a great week and we’ll see y’all on the dance floor!
