Tuesday
Tuesday started with the Country Dance night featuring Southern Reins at Craft Republic. The turnout was amazing with so many dancers and new faces. Everyone was quick to wish Rita a happy birthday, she is such a special lady that is loved by all. Southern Reins style of classic country is so welcoming and entertaining. I appreciate their “Cowboy Code”, they are a true class act. You can catch Southern Reins this Saturday at Casino Del Sol in the Paradiso Lounge starting at 9PM.
Afterwards I had a blast at the newly re-designed Famous Sams at River and La Cholla. This new Famous Sams layout has a great atmosphere, that includes flat screen TV’s, 3 Pool Tables, Darts, Shuffle Board, Juke Box, Trivia, Karaoke 4 nights a week (Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun from 9-close) and amazing food. It’s new design is very welcoming, the beer is cold and it’s super clean. Jen made sure we knew about the specials and ensured we were well feed and kept the cold drinks flowing. Hope to see y’all there soon!
Wednesday
Wednesday we were joined by friends for Karaoke at The Station Pub and Grill. This will always be my “Cheers”. If you’ve never been I highly recommend you stop in for a cold drink and experience for yourself the warm and attentive staff and delicious food. Join us for Karaoke on Wednesday at 9PM and Mark Miller playing live country music this Friday starting at 8:30PM.
Friday
Friday started with 2Lazy2 Ranch Band playing to a full house at BarnFire Mesquite Grill. This bluegrass band really knows how to bring the fun and I really appreciate how they play non-stop with no breaks. I am always impressed that this band holds a dancing crowd till close. Tuesday at BarnFire is Country Dance Night with Clear Country from 6-9PM. Friday this week you can enjoy Jack Bishop from 5-8PM. Hope to see y’all there.
After BarnFire I headed out to Eddie’s Cocktails to see Unwound band. I really love this up and coming group so much and always look forward to their next events. Keep an eye on Tucson Country Music for their upcoming events.
I wrapped up Friday night by wishing Angela a Happy Birthday at The Station pub and Grill. It was an EPIC event, Clint really knows how to throw a party.
Saturday
Saturday night at the Station featured Joe Barr’s debut at the Northwest side hot spot. His mix of originals and classic country songs were enjoyed by all. Quite a few couples had some really intimate moments on the dance floor. I can’t wait to see Joe Barr at The Station again soon.
Afterwards I headed out to Circle S Saloon in Avra Valley to kick the dust up with Backroads. Backroads put on a great show, I love to see so many people on the dance floor.
Sunday
Sunday night I was invited by Nona and Scott for karaoke at Famous Sam’s on River and LaColla. A great time was had by all and Scott was an excellent host. Karaoke started at 9PM and Scott kept people singing and having fun till close. There are so many amazing singers at this venu I hope everyone gets a chance to come out and join in the fun.
This weeks Tucson Country Music meeting was held at the Tucson Tamale Company on 7286 N Oracle Rd. I love brainstorming new ideas with like-minded people who want to take Country Music in Tucson to a whole new level. I was so impressed with their Vegan tamale choices. This restaurant is super clean, the food was hot and fresh and the service was 5 star. What a great place to have a meeting, they even had country music playing.
Hope everyone has a great week and we’ll see y’all on the dance floor!
